Caretaking is when one character looks after another's needs. When taking these actions, this person becomes known as a caretaker. If it's an official relationship, then they become known as a caregiver, or guardian.
A caregiver or guardian relationship may occur naturally due to being a biological family member, or via adoption. A caregiver is often present in Age Regression scenarios, or in ABDL/Caregiver/Little relationships.
