This category and its subcategories contain articles about individual fan communities. Articles about communities that are generally defined as fandoms can be found under Fandoms by Source Text, Fandoms by Community, or Fandoms by Canon Type.

There are many different interpretations of what constitutes a fandom/fan community and how they are defined; we're aiming to include as many interpretations as possible in the arrangement of this category.

There are eleven subcategories:

• Fandoms by Source Text is for articles about fandoms that are based around a media text, such as a film, book or television show. For example, the Supernatural fandom is a community of fans of the TV show Supernatural.
• Fandoms by Community is for articles about fandoms that are not limited to a single text, but rather the community is formed around a common interest. Often this interest will be the medium produced by the community, or its origins will relate to the shared tastes of its members. For example, Media Fandom or Vidding Fandom.
• Fandoms by Canon Type provides an alternate way to browse through the fandoms.
• Offline Spaces is for articles on fan communities that occur in offline spaces, such as Fan Clubs.
• Social Networking is for articles on social networking sites as they relate to fandom and the fan communities that gather there.
