Have you ever wondered what it would be lite to have a friend for life that would share all your hopes and dreams and love you forever? Have you ever wanted a dragon of your very own? Welcome to StarRise Weyr, a registered fan club of Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern series, where you can have a dragon. And more. Do you like to write stories, poetry, articles, or letters to the Editor? do you like speculative fiction? Do you like to draw? Do you like to have fun? If so, this is the place for you! We publish amateur fan fiction, art and articles, all based on Pern, in our quarterly clubzine, Out of the Blue. As a member of StarRise Weyr, you will receive four free issues of our clubzine, Out of the Blue quarterly club updates. The StarRise Watchdragon, the famous StarRise Weyr Manual, discounts on all StarRise publications, your own Peraese persona (complete with dragon, if you so desire), a chance to see your name in print, and assorted other goodies the Weyr sends out from time to time. We invite all Pern fans to join the fun at StarRise Weyr. We've finished our third great year, and we'll be starting the next with a bang! So, if you're a writer, artist, or if you just can't get enough Pern stories, come join the fun at StarRise Weyr! [1]
