Over time, individual fandoms often become known for story types that are rare in other fandoms. Other fandoms became known as the place that a new fannish trope began.

• Captain America: The Winter Soldier: Up All Night To Get Bucky; Hydra Trash Party.

• Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers: gen or het (almost always interspecies relationships) that put the pairing into the background to the point of Bob even if it's true love which it almost always is; Action/Adventure; Case fic with arcs or even entire verses if the writer in question is prolific enough and/or triggers follow-ups by other fans; classic in that they ignore the Boom!comics, and not to mention all more recent animated material; OCs are mostly either victims/the Rangers' clients or the villain themselves, and the villain is almost always an animal OC; Lahwhinie returns; if one of the Rangers dies, it's usually Chip; Tom Clancy-esque technology porn; and not exactly few crossovers; almost always Futurefic out of necessity; almost always Teamfic; almost no Alternate Universes at all, and what few exist are humorous/parodies.
