Schlonnor is the slash pairing of ConnorEatsPants and Jschlatt from the SMPLive and Dream SMP fandoms. It is sometimes also written as a RPF pairing.
In real life, Schlatt and Connor are best friends and former roommates. Their characters in SMPLive (and Dream SMP, as they're the same individuals) are business partners and close friends who live together.
The gen variant is known as BusinessDuo, or more commonly, just "S&C".
Canon
SMPLive
Schlatt and Connor are business partners in SMPLive. After a lawsuit against Schlatt for scamming Connor with his Schlattcoin cryptocurrency, the two form the company Schlatt & Co. and hire the young (unpaid) intern IAmTy, who they serve as surrogate parental figures to. The two frequently bicker, but Connor is fiercely loyal to Schlatt, even trying (albeit failing miserably) to sacrifice himself to save Schlatt from an angry Gold's wrath at one point.[1][2]
While they aren't canonically anything more than good friends and business partners, frequent references are made to the idea of them being something more. They live together in Schlatttown, a plot of land owned by Schlatt & Co., and Schlatt loudly announces "I am a homosexual, Connor" after giving a long speech about wanting to live off the land with him. Connor accidentally implies they're married while talking to AntVenom, who immediately begins to tease them about it, encouraging the two to kiss - which they're very embarrassed by.[3] Sneegsnag makes a comment about how his chat wants him and Schlatt to have sex, and says that his main concern with the idea is that Connor might be jealous.[4]
Dream SMP
In Dream SMP, Schlatt is already deceased[5] by the time Connor arrives to the server, something which leaves him distraught and isolated. He goes as far as to say that he's going to figure out how to bring Schlatt back from the dead in his diary that Tommy reads.[6]
The Tales from the SMP episode "The Haunted Mansion" confirms that the Dream SMP incarnations of Connor and Schlatt are in fact the same characters as their SMPLive counterparts, as when asked about how the two know each other, Glatt explains that the two used to run a business on another server. The episode's main conflict arises from Glatt seemingly kidnapping Connor, but it's revealed to be an elaborate scheme planned by the two in the end.[7]
Fandom
Schlonnor is a common pairing, not particularly popular but not unpopular either. However, it is the most commonly tagged pairing in SMPLive fic, followed closely by its rival pairing Schlattbur.
On Archive of Our Own, the tag has 79 works as of December 2023.[8] 28 of these works (35%) are tagged SMPLive, 20 (25%) are tagged Dream SMP, and 37 (47%) are not tagged with either, though this doesn't mean all of these works are RPF, since SMPs did not recieve fandom tags until 2022.
