MunchyMC is a public Minecraft multiplayer (SMP) server. It was founded by BadBoyHalo in 2015 after the previous server BadBoyHalo was an admin on, McPVP, closed down. BadBoyHalo, being a prominent admin, was able to get some of the server ips and took staff and players from McPVP with him to his new server.
The server has several game modes, including survival, prison, kitpvp, a woolwars minigame and Purgatory, where banned players can try to earn an unban. On July 12, 2024 a new server was added: the Game Maker server,[1] where players could code and play their own mini games. Eggpire, QSMP and other fan map recreations were quickly created on the server.
BadBoyHalo regularly streams from MunchyMC on Twitch and also hosts events every Saturday on YouTube that anyone may join and play in.
Translations
In August 2024 a translation feature was added to the server so that players can chat in their preferred language and translate messages to their preferred language. It was updated to work with signs in September.
MunchyMC Crew
The group of friends and content creators that met mostly through working on the server is often referred to as the MunchyMC Crew by fans. The most famous of the group is Dream, who co-owned the server for a time and was admin of the prison server before RedVelvetCake.
