The Artist SMP, also known by its abbreviated name ASMP, was a roleplay-based modded private Minecraft survival server and web series, extant between the years 2021-2023. The name itself referred to the members that make up its cast, all of which were creative fans of various MCYT fandoms, namely Dream SMP and Hermitcraft, to name a few, including musicians, sound designers, coders, writers, illustrators, and 3D modelers. It also indirectly spawned an official community Minecraft server, named Canvas SMP, sometime in Season 2.

Canon

Much like its earlier contemporaries, the canon of Artist SMP is primarily established through Youtube and Twitch streams of its participants, and its roleplay is mostly casual, with the exception of lore arcs, which make up the majority of its overarching storyline. Additionally, due to the server leaning towards the artistic side, some of its members wrote up lore factoids and summaries of events and characters they plays, as well as making official art. Also prominent is the Canon Lives system, first seen in Dream SMP.

Season 1

The entire storyline starts with the premise that everyone who eventually end up within the homeworld of Artist SMP have experienced some sort of amnesia; for instance, Oddity, a former divine humanoid, fell several meters out of the sky and then crash-landed on a taiga village roof, costing her a canon life.

Amongst the more notable arrivals were Derivakat, herself crashing through a party, and SAD-ist, alongside ComplexlyRoss, as a michievous demon trapped in a thick glass cell.

Notable events during this season include the Luminary Tournament and the Villaj-Cove war saga.

Season 2

This second, and final season, marked a new era in both its storyline and stakes. Henki and the other survivors inexplicably get split up upon landing on a then-unknown world, which is said to be bereft of its primary deity.

Notable events and moments include the Power Plant, the Sculk virus, and the finale itself.

Fandom

Unlike most of its earlier contemporaries, Artist SMP's fandom reach is mostly limited beyond the characters' own fandoms, with references to it seldom seen within these same few people.

• Journey to Legaria - by NagalieArt; was a fan comic that existed around 2022 up until early-mid 2023 on both its Tumblr and Webtoon pages, in which interactions between Legaris, one of two Season 2 characters by here and some of the other members not shown in official lore streams would be emphasized.
