The unofficially-named SAD-ist Dream SMP Animatic Series were a series of fan animatics based on the early-to-mid eras of said Minecraft roleplay series, which all focused on key events and characters such as the second fall of L'manberg, and the Syndicate. The first two videos are also a focus of fan gossip and admiration for being, by all accounts, made partially or fully on the animator's phone. The animatics typically use a mix of music and captured sounds from the Dream SMP streams themselves for audio tracks.
Individual Videos
Dream SMP War / Warriors
Focuses on the original war for L'Manburg's independence.
The Fall
Shows the early L'Manburg elections and the exile of both Tommyinnit and Wilbur Soot, as well as the fracturing of alliances.
The Dawn of the Sixteenth
Probably mostly responsible for poularizing (in fandom) the use of the phrase "Dawn of the Sixteenth" as the popular way to refer to the in-universe battle on November 16th. Focuses on the guerilla/revolutionary battle to reclaim the city, followed by the political disagreements and eventual second destruction of L'manberg (then also alternately referred to as Manberg) itself.
Hog Hunt
Focuses on the formation of a secret police and the subsequent capture and escape of Technoblade.
Evelyn, Evelyn
Done in a different style, using only music, it uses animations set to the song "Evelyn, Evelyn" to explore Tommyinnit and Tubbo_'s fraught feelings and relationships with each other.
The Final Waltz
Animates the Season 2 finale and Tommyinnit and Tubbo_'s confrontation with, and imprisonment of, Dream.
Sunsprite's Eulogy
An animatic focusing on the well-known written fanwork Passerine.
Reception
These animatics were widely popular and even frequently reacted to by the Dream SMP creators themselves. Some fans go so far as to credit her with how the roleplay became more serious, or how popular the SMP became.
If you were here at the time you know what i mean: after her animatics got big ccs started taking their acting more seriously and kept joking about wanting her to put their dramatic lines into the new animatics.hiveswap [3]
