GoodTimesWithScar ("Scar" for short) is a Minecraft YouTuber and streamer, known for his imaginative terraforming, dying frequently in Minecraft, and for several of his "roleplay" characters (see the article C!), most notably on the popular Hermitcraft SMP and the Life SMP Series.

In his early Youtube career Scar played a variety of games and made building tutorials for Minecraft, as well as occasional vlogs.

Hermitcraft

In early 2016 he joined season 4 of Hermitcraft.

In season 5 he and Cubfan135 formed the "ConVex," pranking many of their server members as (and/or while being possessed by) vex, a Minecraft mob. In season 6 they expanded to ConCorp, the largest server-wide corporation, profiting off both sides of the server-wide civil war.

In season 7 Scar was elected as mayor of the Hermitcraft shopping district, with his loyal minions BDoubleO100 and Cubfan, and immediately started to transform the entire district. This eventually led to conflict with the "Mycelium Resistance," led by Grian. The turf war was ultimately decided via a minigame event.

In season 8 Scar was part of the "Boatem" group with Grian, Mumbo, Pearl, and Impulse. He played a business tycoon selling goods from his "swaggon," but missed a significant part of the season due to health problems.

In early season 9 Scar played an elf and built himself a tree base. As the superhero "Hotguy" he was a member of King Ren's court. Later he became an imagineer and built his dream theme park "Scarland." Together with Grian and Mumbo he participated in a prank war against Docm77 as the "Buttercups." Despite his reputation for dying a lot in Minecraft, he also achieved third place in TangoTek's Decked Out 2 dungeon game.

In season 10 Scar decided to build a massive zoo.

Scar was instrumental in organizing several Hermitcraft charity events benefitting Gamers Outreach.

The Life series

Scar participated in every season of the Life Series SMP.

In Third Life he teamed up with Grian after Grian swore him loyalty after accidentally getting him killed. They made their base in the desert, planning a sand monopoly, and were named "desert duo" by fans. Their storyline of war against the Dogwarts alliance, as well as the betrayal & sacrifice & fight to the death at the end, made the pairing very popular.

In Last Life Scar played a wizard on a mountain, selling magical crystals. Through unfortunate circumstances he soon ended up alone, was betrayed multiple times, and died relatively early.

In Double Life every player was assigned a soulmate. By random chance, Scar's soulmate was Grian. Scar decided to build a panda reserve, and Grian "cheated" on him by turning to BigB as his "secret soulmate." Fans' opinions on who treated who un-/fairly during this time are very divided.

In Limited Life Scar was part of the "Clockers" family, with Bdubs as his brother, ZombieCleo as their mother, and Etho as their estranged father. Grian and the other Bad Boys were their cousins and on-and-off allies, but it was Grian who took Scar's last life.

In Secret Life Scar opened "Trader Scar's." Several of his tasks required him to be "the server villain," and he never joined an alliance. Nevertheless, after an impressive performance and many kills (including all of Etho's lives) he won the series.

In Wild Life Scar was a member of the "Bamboozlers" together with Jimmy and Lizzie. They earned the enmity of the "Spanners," consisting of Grian, Mumbo, and Skizzleman, early on, but Grian and Scar eventually reconciled and entered an alliance. Only after Scar died to his snail did Grian kill the rest of his team.

MCC

Scar is a regular participant in the Minecraft Championship. After several to him unsatisfying performances he went on a parkour training arc and improved significantly.

Other SMPs

SMPs Scar joined for a short amount of time include New Life SMP and Pirates SMP.

Relationships and Pairings

Scar is one of the most popular MCYT content creators, and his character is one of the most popular ones in the fandom. Scar/Grian - Scarian, or, in its platonic form, Desert Duo - surged after Third Life and became the most popular pairing by far.

Other popular pairings are Scar/Grian/Mumbo, often called Mumscarian, and Scar&/Cub, the ConVex.

Scar the person is disabled and uses a wheelchair. While there are no indications that his character does the same, and none of the official art features mobility aids, his character is often portrayed as using a wheelchair, a cane, or other mobility aids in fanart or fanfiction. Scar has stated that he does not mind either way.

Due to his membership in the ConVex in seasons five and six of Hermitcraft, Scar is often portrayed as a vex or vex hybrid, using vex magic. In superhero AUs he is usually the hero HotGuy, with Grian as his sidekick Cuteguy (something that was mentioned on Hermitcraft but Grian never actually put on the outfit.) Other common roles for Scar in AUs are as a conman or a mage. His cat Jellie frequently makes an appearance.
