Eret, or sometimes TheEret, is the name of the English streamer and Minecraft Youtuber as well as the name for the roleplay character they played on the Dream SMP. They are most active on their twitch as a variety streamer. They are known for their deep smooth voice, use any pronouns and are gender queer, and started estrogen in 2024.[1]
Character
Dream SMP
Known for being the King on the Dream SMP. Their character had white eyes due to being related to Herobrine that they kept hidden behind sunglasses. Their most significant builds on the server was probably their castle, Pride Palace, which featured rainbow beacons, and their museum. They have a strong desire to succeed and are known for betraying whatever side they are on for the one they think is going to win. Foolish implied that they knew each other possibly through the centuries and saved Eret's life at the Red Banquet

Ava Kris Tyson Controversy
In 2024 Eret's girlfriend Ava Kris Tyson came under fire due to grooming allegations. Ava, a transwoman who worked closely with MrBeast, was first defended by Eret on July 23, 2024.
On August 13, 2024 messages were leaked by mods from Eret's discord further defending Ava.[2][3] (This was also many fans first confirmation that Eret and Ava were dating and not just friends.) One of the alleged victims of Ava, Jess (Mooskina), responded[4] claiming they were misinformed and lying and should have reached out to talk to them directly.
They also claimed Ava was manipulative toward Eret and their possible transition.
We have to use he/him for Alastair, because Ava said she would break up with him if she couldn't call him by he/him pronouns or refer to him as her bf, and the real kicker... She said she would dump him if he transitioned into a woman 🙃🙃🙃 HE HAD JUST PUBLICLY STARTED HRTMooskina @Genderillennial (Aug 13, 2024)
Some used this as a way to immediately start making up theories about Eret being some kind of victim to Ava as well,[5] while others pointed out how irresponsible this defense of Eret was.[6]
Eret denied the new accusation against Ava, and after speaking with Jess and apologizing for their misunderstanding and any hurt they caused Jess in their staff message, Jess also deleted their initial tweets about Eret. Although when seeing Eret again defending Ava, she once more re-iterated that Ava did say to her that Ava would break up with Eret if they transitioned.[7]
Many fans, naturally, felt betrayed and upset.
think i might just curl up and die after seeing eret's staff messages about avatheir streams got me thru quarantine and made me feel safer as a queer person
now shes on the wrong side of a massive controversy and our entire community is gonna suffer more for it
Others watching from the sidelines laughed about yet another DSMP member falling into grooming controversy and people began looking into Eret's past to see if they could dig up dirt on them.[8]
