Iskall85 is the name of a Minecraft YouTuber, as well as a name for several "roleplay" characters he plays (see the article C!), who is known for his Minecraft building tutorials, as well as his gameplay on the popular Hermitcraft SMP. He associates with Stressmonster101 and ran her (unsuccessful) campaign for Mayor in Season 7. He is also the leading developer of the Vault Hunters modpack and the founder of the Vault Hunters SMP.
Controversies
On November 23rd, 2024, the official Hermitcraft X/Twitter account released a statement claiming that Iskall and Stressmonster101 had both resigned from the server. While Stressmonster's reasons were unknown, the statement claimed that Iskall had multiple complaints lodged against him and had chosen to resign voluntarily when asked for his response.[1] Fans noted that pieces of content related to Iskall had been altered or deleted, which further fuelled the flames.[2] Mumbo Jumbo made a tweet confirming that no minors were involved a few hours later, but did not speak more on the topic.[3] Very shortly after, two statements were released, one by one of Iskall's moderators, and the other by a Vault Hunters and Iskall community member. Both statements claimed that Iskall had taken advantage of them by flirting and texting them sexually, all the while being in a long-term relationship.[4] [5]
Most fans have been quick to disavow Iskall, expressing disappointment and anger about his actions. A small minority of fans consider Iskall's actions to be less severe than other scandals with Minecraft Youtubers because there were no minors involved, but they are being drowned out by the majority. There was also some speculation about Stressmonster and her resignation at the same time as Iskall's, which has been rebutted with a screenshot of FalseSymmetry claiming on Discord that Stressmonster had nothing to do with the complaints regarding Iskall, and that "Stress left of her own accord".[6] As of November 25th, 2024, Iskall has not made a public statement.
