The Shelter, commonly known as ShelterMC, is a private modded Minecraft survival multiplayer (SMP) server. It is semi-role play and can be watched through vods or from Twitter updates from members. The server is advertised first and foremost as a server where friends can play together and heal and not a server meant for content creation, however some members do regularly stream it and there is optional server-wide and personal character lore present.

The members of the server are mostly former admins and workers from the QSMP including role players, assistants, builders, sound designers, developers, twitter update account admins, and related friends. A list of the current members can be found on the official update account.

Fans use an s! tag before names ie s!Lumi, in order to talk specifically about the characters instead of the real life members on the server, as most members play a fictional version of themselves on the server.
