Barbie Mugshot Redraws are a redraw art meme based on a scene of the trailer and subsequently from the 2023 film Barbie. The meme generally takes the format of two side-by-side mugshots, with the character on the left expressing shock or fear like Stereotypical Barbie, while the character on the right "mugs" for the camera like Ken after being arrested by the police.
History
The meme may have been kicked off by this tweet by kojironanjo. The peak of the meme may have been May 27~June 1, 2023, although people continued to use the meme template less frequently thereafter.
Different fandoms started to use the meme, with different drawing styles in the arts created by fans and artists over the months since the first appearance of the image.
