Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? is the title of several educational computer games that teach geography and reference skills. It's popularity inspired two game shows that aired on PBS Kids in the 1990s; Where In The World is Carmen Sandiego? (1991-1995) and Where In Time is Carmen Sandiego (1996-1997). Two animated series were also produced, Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego (1994-1999) which was produced by DIC and aired on Fox Kids and Carmen Sandiego which made its debut on Netflix in 2019.
In 1990, developer St. John M. Morrison published a game called Where in Hell Is Carmen Sandiego? which follows Carmen into the afterlife. Brøderbund doesn't recognize it as a part of their edutainment series. The game's focus is on making the player familiar with Dante Alighieri's narrative poem The Divine Comedy' .[1]
