One of the most popular and influential video games of all time, Donkey Kong was the game that made Nintendo in the U.S. It told the story of Jumpman trying to rescue Pauline from the titular giant gorilla. It was followed by several sequels and spawned the Super Mario Bros. franchise.

Mermaids Charity Stream
In January 2019, the YouTuber hbomberguy completed a continous stream of the game Donkey Kong 64 to raise money for the trans charity Mermaids. He was inspired to do so after a complaint from former Father Ted and The IT Crowd writer and current transphobe Graham Linehan lead to a fund for the charity, from the British National Lottery, to be placed under review. Over £265,000 was raised in total.
