Katniss/Peeta, also known as Everlark or Peeniss, is the het pairing of Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games fandom. They are a very popular pairing, and the primary canonical pairing.

Canon

Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark are both reaped to participate in the 74th Annual Hunger Games, as District 12 tributes. In the past, Peeta saved Katniss and her family from starvation by giving her a loaf of bread. In the preparations for the Games, it comes out that Peeta is in love with Katniss, and this becomes an important part of their Games strategy as the star-crossed lovers. In the end, both emerge as Victors, for the first time in history. Their relationship continues to progress through the remaining parts of the series, and eventually becomes the canon endgame pairing.
