Pushing Daisies is a quirky TV show about a pie maker called Ned, played by Lee Pace, who can bring dead people back to life by touching them -- but it has a price.

Ned uses his ability to solve murders with private detective Emerson Cod. He brings his childhood sweetheart Charlotte "Chuck" Charles (Anna Friel) back to life, but the conditions of his power mean that, from that moment on, they will never be able to touch again.

Fanworks often center around this predicament and find creative ways for the characters to have (sexual) contact.

Fandom

The Pushing Daisies fandom is quite small and it was a Yuletide fandom 2007-2009.[1]

The most popular ships are Ned/Chuck, Ned/Olive, and Chuck/Olive.

Pushing Daisies AUs

The concept has also inspired fusions and AUs in which other fandoms' characters are cast as the Pie Maker, or have his abilities. See the Alternate Universe - Pushing Daisies Fusion AO3 tag. In fact, many of the most popular stories in the "Pushing Daisies" tag do not center the original characters.
