The Wilbur Van is a work posted to Archive of Our Own by popular streamer and content creator Wilbur Soot, under the pseudonym SootWilbur.
The work was posted on January 26th, 2022, originally under the title Hitting on 16. The work was posted to the Minecraft fandom. Other than the fandom tag, the only other tag on the work was Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings. Several hours after posting, Soot changed the title to The Wilbur Van.
The work was intended to be a script for the Dream SMP.
Summary
The following story is an adaptation of the scripts of 4 streams intended for production on the Dream SMP. Due to all 4 scripts being written before Ranboo’s death it is best to take this story as being in it’s own timeline that is respective of the character of Wilbur Soot. The actors have signed off that the actions taken by the characters in this story are accurate and representative. It is up to audience interpretation which timeline is canon to the greater storyline. For all future lore based around Wilbur, this is canon.

Plagiarism & Copycats
Reposts
Shortly after the work was posted, various plagiarized reposts began popping up. Many were posted in order to "fix" the fic.
This is the fic written by Wilbur Soot but with proper formatting, spacing, grammar and punctuation, and chapter division for ease of reading. If Wilbur corrects this himself or he says he doesn't want reuploads, this will be taken down.[1]
This is just Wilbur’s fic (The Wilbur Van, formerly known as Hitting on 16), except I’ve fixed the grammar, punctuation, and formatting to the best of my ability.[2]

Copycats
A copycat work was posted with the title Hitting on 16, however it contained the lyrics to Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up, causing many users looking for Soot's post to get Rick Rolled. The copycat work has since been removed.
