Time Traveler Tales is a five-issue comic series based on Karl Jacobs's Tales from the SMP series (a spinoff series of Dream SMP). It is written by Dave Scheidt and illustrated by Kelly Matthews and Nicole Matthews, and published by Dark Horse Comics.[1][2]
The comic focuses on a new character named Oliver, who looks similar in appearance to c!Karl, but is not the same character. Karl Jacobs has said on Twitter that BadBoyHalo will recieve a cameo in a future issue, meaning it is likely that the comic will feature guest appearances from main series Dream SMP characters.[3]
Canon
Oliver has a problem—a time travel problem. Some mysterious force keeps throwing him through time, and this time he’s in the Wild West, rescuing . . . circus animals? But as crazy as that is, it’s only the beginning of his adventure. Through everything that gets thrown at him, the only constant is his desire to help others, right wrongs, and understand the odd places and times to which he travels. With so little to go on, and no control over where he goes (or when!), Oliver must rely on his wit and his friends to find out and face whatever is causing him to tumble through time and space! - description from Dark Horse Comic's blog post[2]

As soon as the announcement about said comic series was posted on the Xitter accounts of the aforementioned creators, fans of the prior web series were enthusiastic, taking to Twitter and other fan platforms to express their expectations, as well as brewing fanworks of their own.
