Orphan's Path is a Dream SMP and SMPEarth fanfiction series on Archive of Our Own centered around Philza and Technoblade. It's written by aenor_llelo and co-authors Alderous, Anarchy-Schmanarchy, Battle_Blaze, ConcoctionsFromHell, Falrisesi, Otakuforlife19 and Rocket999. It focuses on Philza and Technoblade's origins and their meeting and relationship throughout the times, eventually becoming a retelling of the Dream SMP storyline.
The story ends with anarchy. Syndicates. Gods. Fire and blood and crimson. The story began with a man who had nothing but wings and the clothes on his back.
Discontinuation
The authors discontinued the series after controversy surrounding GeorgeNotFound and Wilbur Soot. They updated the series information on AO3 with the following note:
It was revealed by March 2024 that certain characters of this canon, such as Wilbur Soot and GeorgeNotFound, share the namesake and actor of people who have since been confirmed to be a serial domestic abuser and SA perpetrator in the UK. These characters are here due to ignorance at the time of writing and the people in question having been involved in the more central characters/writing of the original story. The presence of these names are not endorsements of their actions, but we cannot in good conscience continue the series out of respect to their victims, which include other people who were part of the story. This series now exists as a memorial and archive of a different time.
