Demise

Demise is a minigame started by Grian on Hermitcraft in Season 6. The goal is to be the last player alive with no PVP kills allowed. The rules differ slightly between the two games that have been played.

Season 6

It cost 50 diamonds to sign up to play. In addition to no PVP kills being allowed, participants were not allowed to wear any diamond armour.

Iskall85 was the winner.

Season 10

When season 10 started, Grian announced a game of Demise as well. Instead of having to pay to join in, everyone on the server was participating from the start. He also introduced the new role of 'Reaper': When a player has died, they become a reaper who must then try and kill another player. Once they are successful, the Reaper is now 'Dead' and is out of the game entirely.

FalseSymmetry was the winner. For winning, False won a 'Joker Permit'. This permit relates to the Season 10 Shopping District gimmick where you need a permit in order to sell a particular item. The joker permit allows False to choose the item that the permit would be for instead of having to be traded it or have received it by chance when they were given out.
