Dramaturgy is an animatic by the artist Roseartemis. It is set in the Dream SMP and follows the events of the mid-early parts of the SMP storyline - from the perspective of the villain or antagonist, Dream and his close friends. Though Dream does not generally stream his viewpoint, in part as a choice to add to the mystery and fit a villain better, Roseartemis (including in an attached mini essay) fills in a few of the less covered gaps and puts forth her version of what the character Dream's feelings and motivations might be where it is not known.

It is also certainly not the first, but it is one of the earliest and puts a lot of effort into the depiction, to use the fan depiction of Dream as the metaphorical "puppetmaster" by giving him green "puppet strings" attached to other characters. She also helped popularize it with her other videos including her Ranboo video "In My Head". What may (and this is a big maybe) be the first is Dropster's Ranboo focused animatics, including The Voices of Dream and In My head, which came out right before January 31, 2021. Fanart is even more difficult to trace and find times for, however.

She also uses both real depictions of characters playing chess and a lot of chess symbolism in the video. She also shows the friendships within the two "teams" in the conflict, including Dream's friendships with Sapnap and especially George.
