Christine Myers was a prolific fan artist.
Myers' main fandom was Star Trek: TOS, but her art included other Treks as well as occasional smaller fandoms.
While Myers' art was mostly printed in zines without a strong sexual focus (aside from a few in First Time) and were never sexually explicit, fans of Kirk/Spock enjoyed her portrayals of the intimate relationship between Kirk and Spock.
Fans in the Kirk/Spock community tended to treat some of their artists very well in respect to detailed comments and appreciation. The letterzines Come Together, The LOC Connection, andThe K/S Press are filled with comments about fanart. Because Myers' work is mainly gen and het, it means that, despite long-running participation and extensive artwork that portrayed a loving Kirk and Spock, fan comments about Myers' work is a bit thin on the ground.
Myers' first published art was in Saurian Brandy Digest.
NOTE: there is a K/S artist who contributed to First Time named C. Meyers. This is not the same person as Christine Myers.
A 1982 Bio
CHRISTINE MYERS reminds us that, as some kinds are born with a silver spoon in their mouths, she thinks she was born with a pencil in one hand and a can of Blair Spray Fix in the other. She sketched her way through several phases in her life beginning with the Cisco Kid and Hopalong Cassidy, concluding with her current "infatuation" with ST (which has lasted these past 15 years). She leaves it to our imagination to fill in what came in between, but if we were to picture her drawing various poses of Zorros, pirate ships, Tom Sawyer and friends, castles, knights, horses, and Dr. Kildare.... She has a job which only serves to support her Trek habit...
[...]
Besides corresponding with all her penfriends, her current interests are collecting teddy bears, needlepoint, crochet...Dr. Kildare, knights, castles, Tom Sawyer, pirate ships. [1]
