He still had those sharp cheekbones and those weird stony eyes and neatly parted hair. The line of his mouth when someone asked a stupid question remained unchanged. Yet Xavier caught himself watching the man's hand as Lehnsherr wrote down a formula on the board, wondering where it had been. He'd never known someone before finding out they were queer. It was- startling, actually. Lehnsherr didn't look like a fag.

Despite the best medical treatment available, the prognosis isn't good- Charles will live, but he'll be paralyzed. And for once in his life, Erik puts something before revenge- helping his best friend. Pity Charles doesn't see things that way.
Luckily for Erik though, Raven has some problems of her own and goes with him, because, God knows, Erik needs a baby sitter. Unfortunately for her, she doesn't realize just how much help Erik will need- his guilt over what he did to Charles isn't the only thing keeping Erik up at night. Despite everything, everything they've been through, everything they are going through, neither man can let go of the other, regardless of what it means for them or anyone around them.
However, despite having the best of intentions, Erik and his new team aren't the only ones looking for a mutant with the potential to help Charles. Emma Frost has run into some serious trouble, and in doing so has jeopardized everything Erik, Azazel and Raven are working for. But has this threat blinded them to the true danger, lurking in the shadows?
And with disguised loyalties and motives, with new enemies and older threats, can Raven and Azazel get Erik back to Charles before it is too late, for everyone?

The CIA's Marcus MacTaggert attempts to recruit newly graduated Doctor Charlotte Xavier and her sibling Raven to assist in the capture of suspected Communist Sabrina Shaw and her unusual associates. Thrilled at the thought finding of more mutants, Charlotte and Raven agree, but are soon put off by the CIA's misogynist attitude and decide to track down these other mutants by themselves. They do find more mutants, but not the ones they were expecting: ferociously determined Nazi-hunter Erika Lehnsherr and overqualified, underworked CIA analyst Doctor Harriet McCoy are just two of the many mutants out there.
Charlotte starts to build a community of mutants but Raven finds that many of them can't even accept themselves, let alone someone who doesn't belong within familiar definitions of gender. Summary: Charles is kicked out of the Westchester manor by his mother claiming he needs to learn “independence” and be truly on his own for the first time in his life. Heeding Sharon, he moves into a one-bedroom apartment in a building owned by superhusbands Tony and Steve Stark-Rogers, attempting to find a job and become a self-sufficient young mutant. With time, he comes to be acquainted with the building’s varied occupants and deal with the suicide of his sister Cassandra and his brother Martin running away from home years before the start of the story, along with his own depression and the turmoil-heavy times as mutants fight for their rights and say in government. Along with the apartment, comes the guardian cat statue, Ghost, and the out-of-body dreams he has many nights, during which he meets the spirits of the dead attached to the building or its residents.
Furthermore, Charles meets his grouchy upstairs neighbor, Erik Lehnsherr, who he finds himself falling in love with despite the man’s constant rebukes and scornful attitude toward monogamy. In the midst of Charles’ journey toward true independence and self-discovery, his brother’s surprise arrival threatens his progress and any further growth.

Summary: The house stood on one of the hills, overlooking a beautiful lake and a rose garden that the alpha of the house took special pride in. They weren't rich, but neither were they poor and they lived a calm, content life, satisfied with what they had. They didn't even realize that something was missing from their lives until one day the woman realized a new life was growing inside her. Their happiness knew no bounds and they waited with impatience for the day when their young would look up at them with bright eyes.
So begins the story of Charles, nicknamed 'Cinderella' by the cruel step-brothers and step-father that took over the house when Charles' parents died. Despite their best efforts, Charles kept his belief in dreams and happy endings. Nursing one final flower from his father's now decrepit garden, Charles works as a servant to his step-family. When the opportunity to go to a ball arrives, Charles seizes it with both hands, with some help from his mouse friends Raven and Thor as well as his fairy godmother.
Erik is a lonely prince, pressured by his mother to find an omega to settle down with. At the Royal Ball he meets a mysterious omega. They dance and talk and play chess, but at midnight the omega dashes away, only leaving behind a glass slipper. A manhunt begins to find the omega who so bewitched Prince Erik.

Summary: Emma Frost has 99 problems, but a date ain't one. Specifically, she has no time to play the dating game—which is fine with her, because she'd much rather run it instead. From a set of sleek, silver and white offices on Fifth Avenue and with her trusty, stylish, and silent partner Janos Quested, Emma has built Frosted Hearts into New York City's premiere dating service, built on the principle that money, and a sufficiently rigorous psionic scan, can, in fact, buy you love.
Somewhere in Frosted Hearts's server is one Charles Xavier, genius and geneticist, with the kind of nicely-starched good looks that sell well on brochures for New England prep schools. He's also a telepath who's decided to give up pursuing serious relationships and instead spend his thirties doing what he should have done as a teenager: have a lot of sex with random people. At the height of the Wars, men discovered fire and gunpowder, where centauri, in turn, mastered archery and metalwork. Desolation and destruction reigned for hundreds of years. However, traditional centauri are distrustful of everything man-made and continue to live in herds across the planet, preferring to live off the earth and hunt for their food. Charles, a professor whose studies include the Sentinel-Guide gene, has been waiting a long time for his Sentinel to come online. But when he finally does, it seems he isn't interested in bonding....
Title: Of Princes and Dragons
Author: letosatie
Artist: dosymedia
Verse: First Class, Days of Future Past, comics
Word Count: 24937
Rating: Teen and up
Characters/Pairings: Charles/Erik, Alex/Armando, Emma/ Scott, Sebastian Shaw, Janos Quested, Evangeline Whedon, Jean Grey, Ororo Munroe, the Frost siblings
Warnings: for sappiness
Summary: On a peninsula called Genosha, there were four countries existing co-operatively.
The youngest of the four rulers, King Erik, suffered the shame of not manifesting his expected hereditary power of magnetism and metallokinesis, a disadvantage in a country of skilled and vicious warriorship. The curse that bound his powers could be broken with love, but Erik could not remember a time when he didn't love the Crown Prince of Corazon, Charles Xavier. He and Charles were both sole heirs; their duty to reproduce should outweigh personal desire, both for each other and for relief from the curses that pained them.
Charles was telepathic. His country however, shunned magic, put all their faith in religion and science. So he hid his gifts and he resigned himself to the loneliness of secrets kept and a loveless marriage.
The King and the Prince had choices to make and, with each of their options bound to hurt someone, it seemed their own wishes must give way to the greater good.

Summary: Things have gone well for Charles in the nineteen months that have passed since Washington. The school is prospering, his family is united again, and mutants are widely accepted as equal members of society. Everything changes on a summer night in early August: without warning, his life begins to fall apart, and Charles struggles to prevent a disaster. It takes him some time to realize what - or who - he is truly fighting.
Title: Summer Boy
Author: mssdare
Artist: radkoko
Verse: First Class
Word Count: 15834
Rating: NC-17 (Explicit)
Characters/Pairings: Charles/Erik
Warnings reference to past childhood abuse (not explicit), ableism, suicidal thoughts, mild drug use, focus on disability (canon disabled character)
Summary: Erik is working as a busboy in a beach bar. He hates the tourists, he hates the bar, and most of all he hates himself and the past from which he's trying to escape. The only person there who seems more miserable than Erik is a boy in a wheelchair, sitting there all day reading books and sweating in the unforgiving summer heat.
Title: not so much about difference
Author: nextraordinaire
Artist: cheezybananaz
Verse: X-Men: First Class
Word Count: 12555
Rating: T
Characters/Pairings: Charles/Erik
Warnings N/A
Summary: As an art major, being low on money is not a novelty. Erik sacrifices everything from sleep to food to get by, and he's gotten very good at keeping himself going on the barest minimum. Something which Charles doesn't seem to get, at all.
Title: When A Siren Loves A Human
Author: B4dLuckBlueeyes
Artist: Thacmis
Verse: First Class
Word Count: 25,405
Rating: Teen and up
Characters/Pairings: Charles/Erik, Edie/Jakob
Warnings violence, gore, canonical character death.

Title: (noun) thing created
Author: nellywrites
Artist: karon_chan (arisupaints)
Verse: XMFC/DOFP
Word Count: 9000
Rating: Teen
Characters/Pairings: Raven Darkholme/Azazel, (brief) Raven Darkholme/Erik Lehnsherr
Warnings canon character deaths, canon typical violence and bigotry mentions
Summary: Mystique had slowly grown like a callus over the places Raven inhabited until she was all roughness and death. It was impossible to reduce that to one moment, when it had been the amalgamation of all of them. But if she were forced to point out the day Raven died, she'd say it was the cool Bavarian morning when Raven had swaddled her newborn son in his dead father’s coat and left him behind in the depths of the Black Forest. An introspective character piece that explores the emotional journey of Raven's transformation into Mystique, in the years between First Class and Days of Future Past. Gap filler fic, mostly canon compliant.
