1990s
1997
- April 15 -- MMMBop is released as a single.
- May 6 -- The album Middle of Nowhere is released.
- May 7 -- Mass hysteria ensues as thousands of fans turn up for a promotional show at Paramus Park Mall in New Jersey.
- May 16 -- MMMBop reaches 1 on the Billboard chart.
- Summer -- HansonHouse is launched at its original location.
- July -- Tulsa 74132, possibly the first hanfic, is published. Other sites give the date September 8.
- July - August 23 -- The Ultimate Hanson Fan Club (a mailing list) holds one of the first hanfic contests.[1].
- July 14 -- The first Hanson slash fan fiction is written and posted to the Internet. It is titled Hanson and Hugo and was written by Ghostman 7.
- July 21 -- Hanson Meets A Cockkroach is published, making it one of the earliest hanfics written.
- August -- Kim's Stories and Links, one of the earliest if not the earliest directories, is opened.
- August 16 -- At a concert in Toronto, Ontario, Hanson set a Guinness World Record for loudest concert audience at 130 decibels.
- October 29 -- MMMCock is published.
- November 18 -- The Christmas album Snowed In is released.
- December -- Possible first usage of the term hanfic[2]
- December 11 -- Hanson Hotel is launched at its original location.
- Unknown -- Zac Says Tay Still Wets The Bed is published.
1998
- January -- Red Candy is published.
- January 2 -- Zac and Tay, possibly the first Zaylor story ever, is published.
- January 6 -- Hanson are nominated for three Grammies. Zac remains the youngest Grammy nominated songwriter and the third youngest Grammy nominated performer.
- February -- Hanson launch their fanclub called MOE, which stood for Middle of Everywhere.
- March -- Rope and Rape is published.
- April -- Close Your Eyes But Don't Sleep is published.
- March -- The first issue of the MOE zine features Kodiak's Hanson Page as "Net Pick."
- Spring -- For What It's Worth is published.
- May 12 -- The album 3 Car Garage, which compiled some of Hanson's early demo songs, is released.
- May 12 — Hanson's Creek, a popular Brazilian story written in Portuguese, is published.
- June -- The second issue of MOE features the Ultimate Hanson Links Page as Net Pick.
- July -- I'm Not A Playa I Just Crush A Lot is published.
- July 9 -- An attempt is made to organize an actual book of hanfic which would be sent to any fans who signed up for just the cost of postage.[3]
- September -- The third issue of MOE features Hanson Hotel as the Net Pick.
- September -- The original version of Lived is published.
- Fall -- The Hanson Fan Fiction Awards were hosted.
- November 3 -- The live album Live From Albertane is released.
- November 26 -- Z.I.T., possibly the first hanfic mailing list on E-Groups/Yahoo Groups, is created.
- December -- The fourth issue of MOE features Hanson 3D as Net Pick.
1999
- January -- HansonFiction.com is opened. It hosted the elite of the fandom, including some of the most well known and popular stories.
- February 22 -- Various Artists is opened. Although it begins as a continuation of Kim's Stories and Links, it expands to include reviews, a hall of fame, a forum, awards, challenges and more.
- March 15 -- Kanga Awards 1999 are held.
- May -- The fifth issue of MOE features Masterpiece of Hanson as Net Pick.
- May -- A Change of Grace is published.
- May 5 -- The Day The Earth Moved is published.
- Summer -- Devil Angel is published.
- June 22 -- Dazed, Confused and Horny is finished.
- Fall -- Really Big Hanson Fanfic Awards are held.
- December -- The sixth issue of MOE features Hanson in Clay-O-Vision as Net Pick and a preview of the new website Hanson.net
- December -- Hanson Advent Calendar 1999 is held.
2000s
2000
- First round of the Literary Hanfic Awards are held this year.
- First round of the Dreamer Awards is held during the year.
- Kanga Awards are held during the year.
- Hanfic Awards are held during the year and have over 2,000 voters.
- Waiting To Be Read Awards are held during the year.
- Hitz Fiction Awards, "Class of '99," winners are announced.
- Writer and Poet Awards are held this year.
- March -- The seventh issue of MOE gives the full scoop on Hanson.net and features Looking At You as Net Pick.
- March 31 -- Hanson.net goes live. The new website, a Hanson ISP, featured a blog, forums, email and web hosting for members.
- April 19 -- Michelle's Hanson Fanfic Statistics is opened. The goal was to read hundreds of stories and compile stats on the most common plots.
- April 29 -- Hanficml is created.
- May 9 -- The album This Time Around is released.
- May 25 -- Emotion Sickness is published.
- June -- Falling is published.
- June 3 -- My Mother’s Obsession with Pies is published.
- July 20 -- The edited version of Lived is published.
- August -- The ninth issue of MOE is published and features Hanson In The City as Net Pick.
- August 21 - September 28 -- Summer Site Awards 2000 are held.

- January 13 — Aspen officially announces that she does not plan to finish Devil Angel.

- April 24 -- Hanson officially part ways with Island Def Jam and start their own label, 3CG Records.

- March 30 -- Hanfic: A Way Of Life, a clique for hanfic fans, is created.
- April -- The twelfth and final issue of MOE is published.
- April to July -- Reckless Abandon Awards (Season 3) are held.
- April 5 -- The LiveJournal community hansonslash is created.
- April 20 -- The album Underneath is released.
- April 27 — Underneath debuts at 1 on the Billboard Independent Album chart and 25 on the top 200, the highest an indie album had ever appeared on the top 200 at that time.
- April 30 to July 20 -- First Feel What I Dream Awards round is held.
- May 10 -- Embers (Music RPF crossover story) is published.
- July 30 -- The LiveJournal community hanson_sex is created.
- August -- Oklahoma Living is published.
- October 26 -- The Various Artists forum is opened.
- October 31 -- Fiction @ Failed-To-Say.net, an archive for all types of fiction that primarily hosted hanfic, is opened.
- December 3 -- The Hanson Shoebox Project is published.
- December 19 -- The Various Artists Writing Challenge begins.

- If Hanson Wore Blue Collars is held during the year. All participants received artwork by Lily Fox.
- Brazilian hanfic site, Hanson Fan Fiction's Place holds awards during the year[5].
- January 19 -- If You Read This is published.
- January 31 -- Possible first English language usage of the term "hancest" in a comment on a chapter of If You Read This[6].
- February 2 --The LiveJournal community hansex_addicts is created.
- February 9 -- The LiveJournal community hancest is created.
- March -- Alone In The Pretense, one of the largest hanfic sites ever, opens.
- March 7 -- Possible first usage of the term Zaylor in a comment on a chapter of You'll Never Escape, the second story in the Lost Without Each Other Trilogy[7].
- March 16 -- The LiveJournal community fansonsforkerry is created.
- April -- Lucy and Taylor Triology is published.
- May 20 -- After a performance at Mayfest, a private screening of Strong Enough To Break was held for fans.
- June 16 to July 18 -- Reckless Abandon Awards (Season 4) are held.
- October 11 -- The Best of Hanson: Live and Electric album is released.
- October 17 to November 20 -- Hanson screened Strong Enough To Break at college campuses around the country during their Live and Electric tour.
- November 25 -- Winners are announced for the Various Artists Awards.
- December -- An advent calendar called Tales of the Glories was created.
- December 1 to February 8, 2006 -- Second Feel What I Dream Awards round is held.
- December 19 -- One Line at a Time is created.

- February 27 - July 24 -- The first twenty two episodes of the podcast "Taking The Walk," which documented the process of recording the album The Walk, are released on iTunes.
- March 10 to May 31, 2007 -- Fifth and final Feel What I Dream Awards round is held.
- April 24 -- By Appointment Only is published.
- April 27 -- The LiveJournal community hanfic4all is created.
- May -- Middle of Nowhere Acoustic is recorded live for fan club members in honor of the album's 10th anniversary.

- April 25-30 -- Hanson play a series of five concerts, dubbed 5 of 5, at the Grammercy Theatre in New York City. Each concert features one of their five studio albums played in full, with night five being the debut of the fifth album, Shout It Out.

- May 3 -- The LiveJournal community Hanson Fiction is created.

- April 5 -- Truth Is a Whisper (Hanson story) is published.
- May 11 to 13 -- A members only celebration, the first to last more than one day, is held in Tulsa in honor of the twentieth anniversary of the band and fifteenth anniversary of MON.
- May 30 -- Infinite, the first book of the Strange and Beautiful Series, is self-published as original fiction.[8]
- July 1 -- The Innocents is published.
- August 23 to October 20 -- Taking the Leap challenge holds second round.
- October -- Trick or Treat Hanfic Halloween Challenge is held for fourth year.
- November 10 -- And With Each Mile is rewritten and republished by a new group of authors.
- November 24 -- Alone In The Pretense closes.
- December -- The Digital Pants album is released on HNET, containing many of the songs written/recorded by Zac for the website.
- December -- Last round of Christmas Time closed due to lack of votes.
2013
- April 1 -- The Hanson App, powered by Mobile Roadie, is launched for iPhone and Android.
- April 9 -- Get The Girl Back is released as a single. It charts at #39 on the Billboard Adult Pop Songs Chart, the first Hanson single to chart in nine years.
- May 20 -- Mmmhops beer makes its debut at the Hangover 3 premiere.
- June 17 and 18 -- Hanson play two sold out concerts at Irving Plaza in New York City, celebrating the band's 21st anniversary and Anthem's release.
- June 18 -- The album Anthem is released.
- June 27 -- Anthem debuts at 5 on the Billboard Independent Album chart and 22 on the Top 200, Hanson's highest Top 200 chart position since This Time Around.
- July 1 -- Ten Years And Muses is published.
- September 5 -- Mistakes We Knew We Were Making, the first part of the Some Kind of Madness Series, is published.
- September 24 to October 25 -- A second round of the Blank Page Awards is held.
- October 13 -- Mmmhops is made available for purchase for the first time at the Chicago House of Blues.
- December 5 -- Stay, the first story in the Salvation Series, is published.
- December 14 -- Guilt, originally published in 2010, is republished.
2014
- February 14 -- Lust is published.
- March 8 -- White Collar Crime is published.
- May 12 -- Mmmhops is officially made available for sale online. A commercial for the beer is posted to YouTube.
- May 18 — Hanson hosts the first ever Hop Jam in Tulsa, featuring Capitol Cars, Robert Randolph, Butch Walker and Hanson. Beers from several local brewing companies are available, as well as a special Hanson Brothers Farmhouse FestivAle. Around 30,000 were in attendance at the festival. It is also announced that Mmmhops has won a Gold Medal in the World Beer Championships.
- June 21 -- Brittney relaunches Alone In The Pretense, bringing several of her old stories back online.
- August 5 -- Bled Dry, the first story in the Pieces Fit Series, is published.
- September 28 -- Sonny Get Your Gun is published.
- October 1 -- A new version of Hanson.net featuring pins, streaming music and more is launched.
- October 6 to November 15 -- A third and final round of the Blank Page Awards is held.
- October 11 -- Damaged, the first book in the Damaged Series, is self-published as original fiction.[9]
- November 11 -- Bizarre Love Triangle is published.
2015
- January 15 -- Having My Baby is published.
- October 1 -- Roots & Rock N Roll, Hanson's first ever cover EP, is released. This is in conjuction with a short fall tour of the same name featuring two night stands (one cover songs, one original songs and an after party DJed by Taylor) in ten cities across the United States and Canada.
- November 10 -- Kittens Are Either With Us Or Against Us is republished un-anonymously.
2016
- April 26 -- You are a drug and it is quick is published.
- May 27 -- The very first ever Hanson podcast, The H-Bomb Show, launched its first episode.
- June 6 -- Sonny Get Your Gun became the first hanfic to be featured as a Staff Pick on Wattpad.
- July 8 -- Isaac's members only podcast, Grace Unknown, launched its first episode.
- October 10 -- The Play EP is released, with parts recorded at the year's Hanson Day concert.
- October 27-December 25 -- The first hanfic remix challenge, Wintry Remix, held its first round.
