Timeline of Total Drama Fandom is a timeline of the Total Drama fandom.
For more information on the timeline for Total Drama's canonical material, including behind the scenes information, check out the Total Drama Wiki's Production page.
When referring to episodes, this page aims to also include leaked parts of episodes that have couples become canon/break up/kiss. If not that, then the first time the episode aired regardless of country.
This list also does not include dates on chefhatchet's Appreciation Calendar or Ace-TD's Mega Appreciation Event List.

2007
Summer
- Jul 1-7th: "Total Drama Island" first appears on Google Trends.
- Jul 8th: Total Drama: Island (2007) premiers in Canada on Teletoon and is not aired elsewhere for a while. Lindsay/Tyler, Bridgette/Geoff and Gwen/Trent are hinted at as being canon and are treated as such by the fandom.
- Jul 15th: Noah kisses Cody's ear in The Big Sleep.
- Aug 13th: Stuck by Evil-Mecha-Pilot, the oldest known Total Drama fic on FanFiction.Net, is posted. It focuses on Courtney/Duncan.
Autumn
- Sep 16th: Courtney and Duncan have their first kiss in Basic Straining.
- Sep 23th: X-Treme Torture makes Harold/Leshawna canonical.
- Sep 30-Oct 6th: "Total Drama Island" is more popular on Google than 6teen for the first time, but not by much.
- Oct 27th: The first chapter of Total Drama Mansion, the oldest known multi-chapter Total Drama fic on FanFiction.Net, is posted. It's completed on May 26th, 2008.
- Nov 4th: Izzy and Owen have their first kiss in Hook, Line, and Screamer.
- Nov 25th: Haute Camp-ture makes Lindsay/Tyler and Bridgette/Geoff canonical.

- Dec 30-Jan 5th: Google Trends shows a significant increase in searches for "Total Drama Island" during this week. This would be its biggest spike until June 2008.
2008

- Jan 4th: The last episode of Total Drama: Island (2007), (aside from the special,) premiers in Canada on Teletoon.
- ~Jan 5th: The period between January 5th and June 5th may have been the quietest time in the fandom's history: it wasn't currently airing in Canada and hadn't aired anywhere else yet.

- Jun 5th: Total Drama: Island (2007) premiers in the USA on Cartoon Network. The fandom becomes magnitudes larger soon afterwards. Before, it was obscure and fannish activity was almost exclusively Canadian.
- Jun 8-14th: "Total Drama Island" has its first real significant increase in searches on Google, dwarfing December 2007's spike by a large margin. This momentum continues on and off until the present, (2024).
- Jul 6th: The Total Drama Wiki is created on Wikia.
- Jul 8th: The Total Drama Island (LiveJournal community) is created.
- Jul 14th: The Favourite TDI Couples and Character forum is created.
- Jul 28th: The New School by DubbleV is first posted to FanFiction.Net.
- Jul 30th: Love Actually by Shimo Ino is first posted to FanFiction.Net.
- ~Jul-Aug: William Country is first posted to YouTube.
- Aug 30th: Mindless Indulgence is created on LiveJournal.
Autumn
- Sep 4th: Total Drama Comeback by The Kobold Necromancer is first posted to FanFiction.Net.
- Sep 17th: Wasting Away Again in Sequesterville by Person is first posted to FanFiction.Net.
- ~Sep 24th: Total Drama is renewed for at least two more seasons. Rumors say the third season will star 15 competitors, take them around the world, and that they'll have to sing in each episode.[1] This would later become Total Drama: World Tour.
- Oct 5th: The The Writers' Lounge: TDI Edition is created.
- Oct 28th: Secrets of a Matchmaker by KiraKira-Kirimi is first posted to FanFiction.Net.
- Oct 29th: Rumors say the fourth season of Total Drama will be called Total Drama Comedy.[2] This would later become Total Drama: Revenge of the Island.
- Nov 29th: Leshawna breaks things off with Harold during the Total Drama, Drama, Drama, Drama Island special. Team E-Scope is also formed, but dissolves by the end of the special.

- Dec 11th: The last episode of Total Drama: Island (2007), (aside from the special,) premiers in the USA.

- Dec 25th: Miscalculation by hhertzof, a true drabble for Yuletide, is written and later ported to Archive of Our Own.

- Jan 11th: Total Drama: Action premiers in Canada on Teletoon. Gwen/Trent and Izzy/Owen finally become canon, (if there were any doubts.)
- Feb 8th: Gwen breaks things off with Trent in 3:10 to Crazytown.
- Feb 16th: The Total Drama Island Fanon Club is created.

- Mar 1st: Total Drama Academy by Lord Akiyama is first posted to FanFiction.Net.
- Mar 17th: Total Drama: Island premiers in Australia on ABC1, (known as ABC TV as of 2024.)
- Mar 18th: The Nerds in Love: The First NoahCody Forum is created.
- May: This was when the Total Drama fandom as a whole was at its near peak popularity on Google Trends. This spike applies only to the "Total Drama Island" search term and began in May 2009, dipping during September.

- Jan 13th: The Art of Pretending It Isn't Your Fault by Contemperina and strayphoenix is first posted to FanFiction.Net.
- Jan 18th: The official Total Drama Production Blog teased a season named, "TDR," for the first time. The post was by Mark Thornton, and he asked fans to guess what it stood for.[4] This would later become Total Drama: Revenge of the Island.
- Feb 18th: Total Drama: Action premiers in Australia ABC3, (known as ABC ME as of 2024.)

- Apr 5th: Deadline for the second Total Drama Fanfiction Exchange, organized by mythologyrulz
- Apr 6th: Celebrity Manhunt's Total Drama Action Reunion Special teased season three as Total Drama, the Musical.
- Apr 13th: Christian Potenza reveals on YouTube that season four will be called Total Drama Reloaded.[5][4] This would end up being the working title for Total Drama: Revenge of the Island.
Summer
- Jun 10th: Total Drama: World Tour premiers in Canada on Teletoon.
- Jun 21st: Total Drama: World Tour premiers in the USA on Cartoon Network.
- Jun 28th: Total Drama: World Tour premiers in Australia on ABC3. Notably, the entire season would be ran in this region before it did in Canada.
- ~Aug 5th: A scene from I See London... of Gwen and Duncan kissing spreads around the fandom(1), Archived version. The episode wouldn't officially air in Canada until August 30th, 2010. This may have been from the Australian broadcasting of the episode.

- Mar 31st: The Trentey Fans Unite! forum is created.
- Apr 24th: The last episode of Total Drama: World Tour premiers in Canada.
- May 2nd: The Kobold Necromancer would add his fic's fanon personal names for the TDI cast on the Total Drama Comeback's Wikia page.[7] These names would later spread throughout the fandom and are still widely used as of 2024.
