chefhatchet's Appreciation Calendar was a fan-made listing of appreciation days and appreciation weeks for the cast of Total Drama moderated by chefhatchet. Appreciation Days were celebrated similarly to how character birthdays are in other fandoms, since the majority of TD characters lack a canonical birthday. Appreciation Weeks were reserved for popular ships at the time and corresponded to an existing fanweek.
The first iteration of this calendar was in 2013. The last was in 2015. In the following years, although many days on the calendar were once celebrated on Tumblr, the calendar itself became largely forgotten. It exists only in archived form as of the 2020s.
The calendar was controversial to some fans for being considered "the be all end all" for fan events. If an event contradicted with the calendar, organizers were often told to change dates to comply with it by others in the fandom. This happened with the Mini Duncney Day event in 2014.
In 2020, Ace-TD, head moderator for r/totaldrama on Reddit, created a similar calendar.
anonymouswolf786's Continuation
In late 2016, anonymouswolf786 created a continuation of the calendar through a Tumblr post which spread throughout the fandom soon after it was posted. Their calendar was effective throughout 2017.
