Pairing Names for Cody/Gwen
The portmaneau "Gody" was coined as a pairing name for them sometime before June 2009[3] and was the most commonly used and recognized ship name for them until 2011 or so, when "Gwody" surpassed it in usage. As of 2024, the pairing is nearly universally recognized as Gwody, and Gody is rare. A similar change happened with Cody/Noah's ship name "Nody" around the same time.
Megan Fahlenbock Said What?
At Fan Expo Chicago 2011, Megan Fahlenbock, Gwen's voice actress, said Gwen secretly loves Cody during a panel for Total Drama and 6teen. Although the exact exchange is often unknown, the idea that Gwen loves Cody back may be referenced in Total Drama fan circles and treated as canon because of this panel.
