Bridgette/Geoff, also known as Gidgette, is a popular pairing within Total Drama fandom. The ship is between Bridgette and Geoff, both prominent characters. It has been shipped since the first episode of Total Drama: Island (2007) before becoming canon that same year. They've been together since.
Bridgette/Geoff is often a Background Pairing in fanworks which feature them or otherwise only there to keep with canon. Still, there's been many fanworks made just for them, especially during the fandom's early years, (until 2012.) Bridgette/Geoff is the most common pairing for both characters.
Polysurfers, a term coined for the poly ship of Brody/Bridgette/Geoff, is a popular poly ship in the fandom. This adds Geoff's best friend Brody into the relationship.
Common Tropes
- Make Up/Reunion: Common both in canon, (they break up only to get back together again multiple times,) and in fanworks.
- Songfic: Both characters are often associated with catchy, poppy music. More common on FanFiction.Net than anywhere else.
- The Beach: The place these two are most likely to hang around.
- Height Difference: Geoff is taller, Bridgette is shorter.

Pairing Names for Bridgette/Geoff
In 2007 and 2008, there wasn't a set pairing name for Bridgette/Geoff. Stories on FanFiction.Net used BxG, G/B, BridgettexGeoff, Geoff/Bridgette, etc. BxG was the most recognizable, especially on Fanpop. The portmanteau ship name Bridgeoff was used even in 2008[1], but didn't become common in the fandom until around 2010, and it wasn't until 2012 when Gidgette became the most recognized and used ship name for them.
Emma, their Fun-Loving, Hangry Official Lovechild?
After the unveil of Total Drama: Island (2023)'s cast, Emma struck out to some fans as a new contestant who looked like a Bridgette/Geoff lovechild. Like Bridgette and Geoff, Emma also has a turbulent love life, having an on-and-off canon relationship with Chase.
