Doey Anniversary was a day-long event in the Total Drama fandom for the, at the time, popular Doey pairing. It was hosted on Tumblr by chickenmcnuggie, who's largely credited with creating the pairing a year prior and was a BNF in the fandom overall at the time. The day celebrated the airing of Suckers Punched in the USA, the seventh episode of Total Drama: All-Stars, and chickenmcnuggie coining their ship name a day afterwards on September 23rd, 2013.[Notes 1][Notes 2]
The event was one of few not on Chefhatchet's Appreciation Calendar. The calendar was controversial to some fans for being considered "the be all end all" for fan events. If an event contradicted with the calendar, organizers were often told to change dates to comply with it by others in the fandom. This event didn't cause any noticeable pushback in comparison because chickenmcnuggie and her circle were considered to be TD Populars, ie, BNFs, and the hypocrisy overshadows the day as a whole for some fans.[Notes 3]
