The Philon Awards were awards given by Beyond Dreams Press, a fanzine publisher. The first Philon Awards were presented by The K/S Press in 1998 to honor writers and artists for excellence in K/S slash zines published in 1997 and continued through 2004. Philon means "Beloved" in Greek. More information about the awards can be found here. At the popular 2023 KiScon (Star Trek convention), the Philon Awards were once again brought to the k/s public. "With the permission and support of Jenna and Shelley, KiScon is resuming this beautiful tradition."[1] New categories were added to celebrate the changes in fandom since 2004.[2]
