Jasper Sitwell is portrayed by Maximiliano Hernández. His first appearance was in the Thor (2011). He reprised the role in the Marvel One-Shots shorts' The Consultant and Item 47 as well as The Avengers (2012). He appears in episode 7 The Hub of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and several other episodes. He appeared in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, where it was revealed that he was a secret Hydra agent - after being captured by Captain America, Black Widow, and Falcon he was killed by the Winter Soldier for revealing the secret plans to Steve.
Fandom
Although a minor character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the character is a common character to make an appearance in fan fiction especially Clint/Coulson works and any work related to fellow S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.
After CA2's release and the canon that came with it, many fans still believe in Sitwell, I Believe In Sitwell Tumblr group along with the ibelieveinsitwell tumblr tag & #ibelieveinsitwell twitter hashtag with the same message - where Sitwell wasn't actually fully apart of Hydra, but a triple Agent. Also another wish for the "I Believe In Sitwell" campaign is that Sitwell would still be alive, like the Phil Coulson fandom did for him.
