Foggy Nelson is a Marvel Comics character and also appears in the Daredevil, and The Defenders, which is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Foggy Nelson has been best friends with Matt Murdock since college. They founded a law firm Nelson and Murdock together. Foggy discovers Matt is the vigilante known as Daredevil in season 1, and although he doesn't agree with Matts' actions he agrees to keep his secret and continues to support him. In season 2, the trial of the Punisher and the return of Elektra Natchios further strains Foggy's loyalty to Matt. After the trial, Foggy decides to leave Nelson and Murdock, and goes to work for Jeri Hogarth.
