Antoine Triplett first appeared on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 1 Episode 14 "T.A.H.I.T.I." (March 2014).

Triplett's most popular pairings are the het pairing Triplett/Simmons and slash pairing Triplett/Fitz.
The pairing Triplett/Skye is fairly common.
All other pairings, such as Triplett/Hunter, Triplett/Raina, Triplett/Coulson, and Triplett/Ward are rare.
Triplett's Family Fan Theories
- Eric Koenig: So you're not going to mention your grandfather?
- Antoine: It's not something I advertise. Didn't want to be treated any different cause I'm a legacy.
- Eric Koenig: If I was the grandson of a Howling Commando I'd have that tattooed on my chest. [1]
Since it was revealed that Triplett's grandfather was one of the Howling Commandos, many fans have different fan theories or different headcanons on exactly who his grandfather is and who is grandmother could possibly be. This often led to Everyone Is Related headcanons.
Nearly everyone presumes that it is Gabe Jones, due to both being African American and Jones being the only HC to be one. Due to this possibility and canon comicverse knowledge that has Jones romantically involved with Peggy Carter, has many believing that Peggy is Triplett's grandmother. That would make him related to Sharon Carter as well, although how is not completely clear (Peggy and Sharon's Movieverse connection hasn't been revealed yet). Fans' headcanons usually make them (Triplett & Sharon) cousins.

Another theory was Jaquese Dernier,[2] due to Antoine's French last name. It's not the most popular opinion.
Later in the second season,[3] again one of the Koenig brothers state that "Dum-Dum Dugan" would be proud of the equipment Antoine used. This implied that it might actually be Dugan as Triplett's grandfather.
Despite the fact that Antoine's mother appeared in the series,[4] Antoine's grandfather has yet to be confirmed.
