Tommy Shepherd is a fictional character from the Marvel Comics-series The Avengers and Young Avengers. He is the alter ego of the superhero Speed.
Canon
Speed first appeared in Young Avengers #10 in February 2006. It was later revealed that Tommy (along with Billy) is the reincarnated son of the Scarlet Witch and Vision[1]. He shares his speed abilities with his uncle Quicksilver.

Tommy and his twin brother Billy are sometimes affectionally called the "minimoff twins", a pun on their mother and uncle, the Maximoff twins.

- ^ Young Avengers #11 (May 2006)- Prior to this, the Scarlet Witch was desperate to have children that she used her reality warping powers to create twin sons unknownly - both from scattered fragments of the soul of demon Mephisto. Once they were reabsorbed by him, it destroyed the twins, however because Wanda put so much power in them they ended up destroying Mephisto. The souls were then reincarnated as Tommy and William Kaplan
