Brock Rumlow is a Captain America character known as the supervillian Crossbones in the comics. He also appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as an enemy of Captain America.
Canon
Brock Rumlow/Crossbones first appeared in Captain America #359 (October 1989). Crossbones usually appears as a henchman of the Red Skull.
Rumlow is portrayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by Frank Grillo in the film Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014). He reprised his role in the sequel Captain America: Civil War (2016), and again in Avengers: Endgame (2019).
Fandom
After the release of The Winter Soldier, a spike of interest in Brock Rumlow appeared in the fandom.
Pairings
Brock is usually paired with Bucky Barnes, Steve Rogers or his colleague, Agent Jack Rollins, however the pairings Bucky/Brock, Steve/Brock and Brock/Jack are quite rare overall in the Captain America Movieverse/MCU fandom[1]. Brock has also been shipped with the other male Avengers characters/MCU characters including Sam Wilson (Brock/Sam), Tony Stark (Brock/Tony), Clint Barton (Brock/Clint), and Grant Ward (Brock/Grant)[2] - they are all rare pairings though.
Brock has also been shipped with several of the MCU Ladies, including Darcy Lewis (Brock/Darcy), Maria Hill (Brock/Maria), Jemma Simmons (Brock/Jemma), and Skye (Brock/Skye); although the all the pairings are rare overall[3]. Although Sinthea Schmidt (known as "Sin" or "Mother Superior" in the comics) has yet to appear in the MCU, Brock has been paired with her[4] - this is probably influenced by the canon relationship in the comics.
Brock has also appeared in two threesomes: Brock/Bucky/Steve and Brock/Darcy/Jack[5].
