Fandom
There was a small comics fandom for this pairing. Cablepool fans were active on Livejournal during the noughties. Fans later moved on Dreamwidth and Tumblr.
Some fans expected the live action appearance of Cable in Deadpool 2 would result in an influx of Cablepool shippers. Unfortunately this did not materialize. While the film did bring new fans to this pairing, the ship remains a rarepair in Marvel and MCU fandom.
