Sorry for missing the email, I don't check the email attached to this account very regularly. I am on the Fanlore Discord server though, with the same username, so that's the best way to contact me to get a fast response.

Anyways, I would be happy to become an Advanced Editor! I've already made a few requests to move pages when I made typos in new page titles, so it would be nice to be able to take care of that myself. I'm a little more wary of moving or deleting pages for other people, but I'll make sure to read talk pages thoroughly and ask for help if I'm not certain.

I've read the linked page about Gardeners, and I'll have to think more about whether I want to apply for that level of responsibility.

Fanart vs official art

Just wondering, is there a new rule about using fanart for ship pages and not official? I'm not fighting it, just curious. Especially since you picked some good pieces. Sj2014 (talk) 14:53, 26 June 2022 (UTC)

Sj2014 there is no official rule (as far as I've seen) but I've been encouraged by Gardners to replace official art w/ fanart on other pages (e.g. here), so I've kind of made a habit of doing it on pages that catch my attention. I think enchantedsleeper said they'll be updating the Fanlore:Image Policy to reflect this position, but I don't see anything on the page yet. (I will say, that I'm not very informed on Fire Emblem as a game or fandom, so if you feel that the screenshots convey important info for the fanlore article, please feel free to change them back! We can always put the fanart I found in galleries on the pages' fanwork sections. I'm glad you liked the fanart though, I thought they were pretty neat too ^^) -- Quaelegit (talk) 00:02, 27 June 2022 (UTC)

Reference Issue

Hi, I've noticed you've been making a lot of changes on pages lately, and most them are great. However, I've noticed that you keep changing archived fanwork links from {{source|url=url here|title=title here|archiveurl=archiveurl here}} to {{cite web|url=url here|title=title here|archiveurl=archive url here|archivedate=archive date here}}, the second option the "cite web" is great for quotes, etc and making sure that the info and their archived versions show up at the bottom of the page in the reference section, however, it is not good for listing fanwork examples and having the archive link show up beside them in the list. When you changed the "source|url" to "cite web" it caused red error codes to show up on the pages and I had to go in a reformat them. I know not everyone likes how "source|url" looks on the page, if you are one of those people another options is to have "fanwork link; archive link" as seen in the Meta section at the bottom of the Supernatural page for example. -- Kingstoken (talk) 10:19, 27 June 2022 (UTC)

I think you've confused me with someone else, I have never used {{cite web}} that I can remember and strongly prefer {{source}} to other ways of formatting backup links. Yes, to be honest I don’t know much more than “they record podfics and I like their voice!” Heh. I would highly recommend checking out their podfics! They have a pleasant British accent, and a light (I have no idea if that’s a helpful descriptor?) femme voice, and at least for Harry Potter, they record some fics that are very sweet.
