Poetic Justice is a Loki/Tony slavefic by Limmet. Post-The Avengers, Loki is presented to an unwilling Tony Stark as a slave in retribution for his attack on Earth.
Author's Summary
When the time comes to pass sentence on Loki after the events in The Avengers, Odin decides to go for the poetic justice angle. For his attempt to enslave humanity, Loki has his magic and powers bound, and is sent back to Midgard and given over to Tony Stark to be his slave. This was not a turn of events Tony had ever seen coming.[1]

[scarecrowslady] It will be interesting to see how Tony handles this. Hm. Especially since Asgard (the Asgardians) are behaving like idiots again. Although, frankly, I'm a little disappointed because Loki is yet again the victim. At this point in time, I find Tony to be more complicated, three-dimensional and, therefore, interesting than my usual favourite (Loki). I foresee lots of emo!Loki up ahead.[2]

"This is one of the best fanfics ever. Perfectly developed and beautifully written, incredibly long. Odin takes the 'poetic justice' angle with Loki's punishment and sentences him to be a slave on Midgard to one of those he tried to enslave, Iron Man. Loki is terrified and Tony is baffled. Very slowly builds to a relationship."[4]
The fic is so ridiculously implausible and long-winded, but I came to it early on and now reading the new chapters every week or so is kind of like putting on an old comfortable shoe or something. A shoe that makes me disappointed in myself but still.[5]
