Alphonso Mackenzie, or Mack, is a Marvel Comics character.
He also appears in the TV series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., where he is known by the nickname Mack.

Agents of Shield
Mack is recruited by Phil Coulson to join the remnants of S.H.I.E.L.D. as they rebuild the organisation. He is a former colleague of another new recruit Bobbi Morse. He becomes close friends with Leo Fitz who is struggling with a brain injury following Ward's attempt to murder him in the season 1 finale. Mack nicknames Fitz Turbo and often helps Fitz communicate with his colleagues.
In season 3, we meet Mack's brother Reuben, who believes he works for an insurance company. After an attack by the Watchdogs, Mack has to reveal that he is actually an Agent of Shield, inspiring his brother to have a new level of respect for him. Also in Season 3, Mack meets Elena "Yo Yo" Rodriguez an Inhuman who is initially hostile to him. Once she realizes that he and Shield don't pose a threat to her, she begins to works with Shield and they develop a romantic relationship. In season 4, it is revealed that Mack still grieves the death of his infant daughter. In the Framework, Mack has a young daughter named Hope Mackenzie.
Fandom
Although appearing in the comics universe since the 80s, it wasn't until his appearance on AOS in the Fall of 2014 that he started to gain popularity and have fanworks focused on him.

Mack is most commonly paired with his teammate and friend Leo Fitz.[1] Rare pairings include Alphonso Mackenzie/Skye and Alphonso Mackenzie/Bobbi Morse.[2]
The canon het pairing of Alphonso "Mack" Mackenzie/Elena "Yo Yo" Rodriguez appeared immediately after their first meeting and is a popular pairing for Mack.[3]
