Created in April 1939 by writer-artist Bill Everett, Namor the Sub-Mariner (aka Namor McKenzie) is Marvel's first superhero, the First Anti-Hero in comics, and the First Mutant. Namor is the first superhero character to ever fly, Marvel Comics (1939) #1, the first biracial superhero, and the first superhero royalty. A Golden Age character who was reintroduced in the Silver Age, Fantastic Four (1961) #4.
Namor is the half Atlantean, half Human son of Princess Fen of Atlantis and Sea Captain Leonard McKenzie. Heir Prince to the royal throne of Atlantis, he grew up under the water and was taught to mistrust all surface humans.
MCU Namor is Half Human/Half Talocanil, He is the ruler of Talocan.
