Michelle Jones, full name Michelle Jones-Watson and also known simply as MJ, is a main character in the Spider-Man MCU Movieverse. She is based on the Spider-Man comics' character Mary Jane Watson. The actress portraying her is Zendaya.
Canon
Michelle is a student of Midtown School of Science and Technology and one of Peter's classmates. She befriends Peter and Ned, who she's on the Academic Decathlon Team with. She becomes captain of said team after the previous captain changes schools. When Thanos kills half of all life in the universe, she is one of the victims, and gets revived through the reversal of the snap five years later. On a school trip to Europe, she confronts Peter about her suspicion that he's Spider-Man, which he later confirms. They begin dating after he defeats Mysterio. Together with Peter and Ned, she applies to MIT and gets accepted. When Dr. Strange casts the spell that makes everyone forget about Peter, she loses all her memories of him, but remains friends with Ned and still keeps the necklace he bought her in Europe.
