Absolutely brilliant. Otherwise called “The One Where Odin’s Plan Almost Worked BUT Thor and Loki Are In Love”. It’s long, epic, brilliant, uses the available MCU canon but with a twist that sets everything a little sideways and involves Jotunheim and politics and Odin being a dick and Loki being a darn good king for good measure. It’s fun, long, adorable, fix-it verse stuff….. and the new/replacement villain surprised and delighted me….. In the name of full disclosure this particular fic toys with straight up incest more than I’m usually comfortable with but…… everything works itself out well and the characters deal with it in interesting ways….and I was too invested by that point. Just giving you a heads up.[1]
Another Loki POV. This fic is honestly wonderful, it’s a for want of a nail fic where Odin got his sons from Jotunheim before Loki got the bad touch and so Odins plans to make Loki a puppet king of Jotunheim played out according to plan. Only Loki isn’t too keen on being a puppet. In this Thor and Loki have had an on again off again relationship for ages that keeps getting broken up when Odin discovers them and punishes them heavily for ‘incest’ which Loki resents when he learns he’s adopted. It’s a great fic that focuses more on Loki sorting out his shit as King than on thorki but I really, really, really recommend.[2]
