Onward, Side by Side is a Fates zine centered on the relationships between the game’s Royal Lords and their Retainers.[1]

Interest checks opened on October 17 and closed on October 31, 2021[2]. Contributors could apply to the project from November 1 to November 21, 2021[3].

Preorders began on February 25, 2022 with the following pricing tiers[4]:

  • Digital Bundle ($10 USD) - Digital Zine
  • Corrin Bundle ($20 USD) - Physical Zine, Digital Zine
  • Corrin Bundle ($30 USD) - Physical Zine, Digital Zine, A5 Cover Print, Washi Tape, Die-cut Sticker, Memopad, Stretch Goals
  • Hoshido Bundle ($35 USD) - Physical Zine, Digital Zine, Postcard Print, Bookmark, Acrylic Charm, Die-cut Sticker, Stretch Goals
  • Nohr Bundle ($35 USD) - Physical Zine, Digital Zine, Sticker Sheet, Acrylic Charm, Die-cut Stickers, Stretch Goals
  • Full Bundle ($50 USD) - Physical Zine, Digital Zine, A5 Prints, Sticker Sheet, Acrylic Charms, Die-cut Stickers, Bookmark, Memo Pad, Washi Tape, Stretch Goals

The NSFW side zine, Bound to You, could be purchased separately or added onto other bundles for $5 USD. Fore select physical bundles, stretch goals included calendar prints at 50 orders, a gold foil upgrade for the Hoshido Bundle's bookmark at 75 orders, and an enamel pin at 100 orders[5].

All orders, physical and digital, were shipped out by July 29, 2022[6]. Remaining merchandise was sold à la carte during their leftover sales, which ran from September 12 to October 12, 2022[7]. The project finished on November 13, 2022 with an announcement that $1,021.47 was raised and donated to Never Again Action and a link to the digital versions of both the zine and the NSFW side zine through Google Drive[8] .
