Viridian5 is a fan fiction writer. She first discovered online fan fiction December 1997, has been writing in fandom since 1998, and occasionally beta reads. Her fanfiction is primarily slash.
Her first internet fan fiction was posted to the Mulder/Krycek Romantics Association. (Her actual first fan fiction was only in her mind at the age of about 7 or 8 when she created non-idiot female characters, unlike the one actual female character, to take part in her own episodes of the time-traveling The Fonz and the Happy Days Gang animated series that ran from 1980-1982.)
Although she started out in just The X-Files internet fandom, within a year she became fandom polygamous. For a time, she wrote often detailed episode reviews for Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda (TV show) to the very end of the series. She also founded and moderated The Universe Hates You (TUHY) mailing list.
She contributed fic to both the 2001 and 2011 editions of the multifandom challenge 101 Ways To End Up In A Canadian Shack and to the slash print zine due South anthology Serge Protector and volume #2 of Duet (Due South zine). She often contributed fic when there was a new "battle" going on at the Weiss Kreuz Vs Saiyuki community.
Some people don't include the 5, just calling her "Viridian."
Viridian5 and Laura Shapiro coined the term Bulletproof Kink.
