Third Watch was a drama series on NBC about emergency responders in New York City. The show focused on the paramedics, firefighters, and police officers who worked the 3 p.m. - 11 p.m. shift in the fictional 55th precinct. During its six-season run, Third Watch featured crossover episodes with fellow NBC series ER and Medical Investigation.

The first two seasons are currently available on DVD.

Fandom

While LiveJournal communities increased in popularity toward the end of the show's run, much of the fandom's earlier activity took place on message boards. Popular message boards included Third Watch Dot Net's forums and the now-defunct 55David on Boscorrelli-Yokas.Com.

Writers in the fandom tended to focus on the het pairing of Officer Maurice "Bosco" Boscorelli and Officer Faith Yokas, with gen, slash, and femslash pairings being less popular.
