Fan Comments
The name of Stefanie Hawks will be known to many of you in connection with both Doctor Who and Star Trek fandom. This artist literally offered her impressive services to me, pushed back her own deadlines, and offered such cooperation as I have never seen. [1]
The bacover by Stephanie Hawks (clearly one of the best artists in DW fandom) is a priceless dual Tom Baker portrait, stylistically elegant while still emotional. [2]

from Galactic Discourse #4 -- "My favorite piece is one that tends to be overlooked unless pointed out: an incredible soft pencil portrait of Admiral Kirk by Stephanie Hawks. It appears to be just a few moments after Spock's death and you can see the tears shine in his eyes; not any more, no conspicuous tears dripping down cheeks, just the suggestion created by eyes with too much shine and the set of the lips. Beautifully subtle. I'd trade away my last pound of strawberry fudge for the original and throw in a picture of Remington Steele for good measure. Exquisite." [4]
"The artwork is in general very high-class, with top honors going to Stephanie Hawks. Her portrait (p. 157) of Kirk reacting to Spock’s death is guaranteed to tug at your hearts and her illustrations for the story "Caverns" are marvelous." [5]from Kessel Run #3 -- "A very striking Stefanie Hawks shadow composition on the cover—very handsome and gritty." [6]
from Kessel Run #3, for the story, "Next Time" -- "You really had some lovely artwork for this issue. I could rave all day about said art, so I'll just mention my favorites - Stefanie Hawks' drawing on page 120..." [7]
