That But Lesbians is an anthology zine that reimagines popular het ships as femslash pairings, by genderswapping the male half of the ship. Most of the entries are fanart but two consist of fanfic.
The idea for the zine came out of a tweet[1] by hattersarts in September 2018:
a zine called 'this but lesbian' and i take all the ships from the straights
It proved to be a popular concept, having 1.4k likes and 270 retweets as of June 2020. Many replies to the tweet expressed support and enthusiasm for the idea, either saying they would buy a zine like that or wanting to contribute.
Volume One
The zine Volume 1 covered a wide array of ships, from popular TV shows and movies, to classic musicals, to anime and cartoons.[2]
Volume Two
The second volume also likewise included a wide array of ships, from popular TV shows and movies, to classic musicals, to anime and cartoons. It's was developed through 2019 and published late 2020.[3]
