Legally Blonde is a 2001 comedy film about Elle Woods, a sorority girl who gets into Harvard Law School in order to win her ex-boyfriend back. It was based on a novel of the same name. The film has two sequels, and was made into a successful Broadway musical in 2007.
The film starred Reese Witherspoon, Luke Wilson, and Selma Blair. The musical starred Laura Bell Bundy and Christian Borle.
Fandom
The movie is popular on sites like Tumblr, though its dedicated fandom is small. Its fan presence seems to have been boosted by the musical: on Fanfiction.net as of 25 March 2017, there are 151 stories for the musical and only 2 for the film.[1] Legally Blonde fic has been written for Yuletide occasionally.
