Grease is a 1971 stage musical that was adapted as a popular 1978 film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.

A sequel film, Grease 2, was released in 1982, starring Michelle Pfeiffer. While the sequel was received poorly by critics, it retains a small fan following.

A prequel television series, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, was released on Paramount+ in 2023 and developed its own, primarily sapphic fandom.

Grease Live! was a 2016 live, televised remake of the movie. One notable difference from the original film is renaming Sandy Olsson to Sandy Young and changing her home from Australia to Utah.
